Russia x Reader - Day 3 Ranbu no Melody by SID
A/N: WARNING CONTAINS SOME SWEARS AND SOME VIOLENCE (quite impossible for me to write this without it xD)

"Damn it ...." You cursed under your breath. "Another night without sleep...". The sun was showing signs of it's appearance as the sky started to show hints of light blue. You were lying on the grass of your "new home". Home... there's nothing homey about this wretched place! Your home... you would be still sleeping if you were home. All warm and comfy in your bed sheets. Damn that Gilbert. He sent you to this rehabilitation facility as a joke. The whole darn thing went wrong and the damned Prussian can't do a thing about it because now you were officially deemed mentally unstable! All because you trashed the place trying to escape! I mean who in their right mind would let themselves be taken without a fight? And that damned psychological exam was rigged! That head doctor Natalia had it in for you and you knew it as soon as you saw her. You've seen her a few times before when you hanged around Ivan Braginski. He was a friend, your partner and let's face it, he was also your new crush. He was just so sweet and his childish smile was simply adorable! Anyways you believe, no scratch that, you KNOW that Natalia likes him too. But man she must really be desperate if she is willing to confine you in a mental facility for 2 months. You sigh trying to block all the negative thoughts and focus solely on Ivan, the only thing that's actually keeping you sane right now. Your mind flows back at the time you met.

*FLASHBACK*

Fights, protests and rebellions ruled your homeland. You were terrified but sucked it up and pressed forward. You grabbed your crowbar and wacked everyone that lunged at you. You were a member of the police along with Ivan(who btw was one of the best and everyone knew his name) and tried to calm all of the angry manifestors as well as keep them from advancing to your countries' Russian embassy. You only shifted your attention for ONE minute and all hell broke loose. You wounded up shot in the stomach. In the midst of all this confusion Ivan managed to grab your hand and drag you to an alleyway.

"Oh shit.... I don't get paid enough for this.. Gahhh!". You panted heavily as you leaned on the wall and sat with a painful thud.

"Don't speak! Let me see your stomach, da?" Ivan attended to your wound and somehow managed to patch it up, good thing the bullet went through. The pain was so excruciating that you paid no mind to Ivan not even getting a good look at him. As your conscience was fading from the pain and blood loss you saw Ivan hovering over you as he held your hand.

"H-Hey.... y-you're Ivan r-right?" You were already groggy and unable to focus strait.

"Da, I'm Ivan Braginski. I've seen you around other protests... what's your name?" By this point you more out of it than conscious and his sweet melodious voice didn't help one bit.

"_-_________...." Was the last thing you said before fainting.

Ok let's face it... NOT a normal way to meet someone but hey it worked. Ivan gently picked you up bridal style and evading the now turmoiled city he took you to his house. You were left in his care for a few months and got to know him better. As days grew into months naturally the respect you had for him for saving your life grew to something else... you've grown to love him and became best friends with him. After you recovered you felt really bad. You didn't want to leave him.

"I can't thank you enough for what you've done for me Ivan..." You were by the doorway trying to keep that smile happy but failing miserably.

"You have nothing to thank for _________. It was a pleasure!" Ivan smiled. But his smile mirrored yours. You hugged him tears brimming your eyes. Sure you could see each other, but it wouldn't be quite the same....

"__________ i know this may seem strange to say..... but my neighbor just moved out for some reason... w-would you.....no I'm asking too much."

You couldn't believe your ears... He just invited you to be his neighbor??? You decide to mess a bit with him. "Oh Ivan you were going to miss lil' ol' me?"

His face was dusted in pink and he started to stutter in Russian. Oh lord such a rare sight. Of course you had to ruin your ruse by giggling. "Of course I'll be your neighbor Ivan! That way i can stay close to my best friend and co-worker!" 'Co-worker huh?....I wanted more..... but i can't have everything right?..'.

"Wonderful!!! You will move at once, da?" His eagerness made you blush and just nod.

*END FLASHBACK*

It was morning by now..."Good god this place is boring... Oh Ivan i miss you so much..." You got up and were about to turn around when a cold voice made you freeze.

"Ha! __________ I'll make this clear.... Ivan is MINE so don't ever speak of him that way ever again or i'll submit you to the electric treatment..."

You turned slowly trying to hold in the urge to lunge at her. Damn that Natalia she is always watching your every move.... "He is NOT yours Natalia and never will be..." You glared at her only to receive an evil grin in response. 'Oh shit this is not good' you thought as you turned to face her completely. She had a guard with her holding a restraint jacket. 'Aww hell no....' She signaled the man to grab you. Of course as any self respecting human being you fought the man. HA! the police training really did make wonders... The man was failing miserably at grabbing you and fell to his knees. You completely forgot about Natalia in the background until she decided to step in. She punched you right were you had that bullet scar (which just finished it's scaring process so it was sensitive). You fell to your knees with a thud and griped your stomach protectively.

"Get up and do what you are paid to do!" Natalia growled at the man that stood up and started to wrap you in the jacket.

«RUSSIA POV»

It was almost dawn. Ivan peered through his window to your house and paced erratically in his house as so been his routine for the past 2 months. He paced and paced trying to figure out where you went, why you left him alone, why you didn't even come home without so much as a goodbye.

"She left me alone like Raivis Toris and Eduard did...." He was beyond depressed. He slumped down on his couch and grabbed a bottle of his prized vodka. He couldn't shake the feeling that you needed him and that made everything worse. He had absolutely no clue as where you were. He stayed like this for a half an hour.

Knock Knock Knock

Ivan lifted his head and peered over his shoulder to glare at the door. He didn't want to be disturbed but then a thought hit him. He went wide eyed and ran to the door opening it so quickly that made Gilbert jump from the scare. Ivan's hopeful feeling was crushed and frowned almost immediately. "What are you doing here Gilbert? I'm not in the mood for you so leave, da?" He was about to close the door when Gilbert stopped it with his foot. He was clearly shaking but had a determined look on his face. "My patience is not very good Gilbert... i suggest you leave... now."

"Nein Ivan. I have somezing i have to tell you. I've been unforgivingly unawesome but now i vant to make zings right. I know vhere ________ is-"

"WHAT? TELL ME WHERE SHE IS RIGHT NOW GILBERT" Ivan shook Gilbert's shoulders violently making Gilbert dizzy. "SPEAK!"

"I-IVAN STOP SHAKING ZE AWESOME ME DAMN IT!" Ivan let go of his shoulders. "You know zat chick zat's always stalking you? Well it looks like zat she is a doctor in a medical institution and took _______ zere-" Before he could say anything else Ivan bolted out of the house and got to his car.

' Natalia.... i should've known she would do something like this.... How could've i been so blind?!' He drove furiously till he reached a familiar  white building.

«READER POV»

You tried to free yourself from the restrains but it was futile. You were chained bounded to a chair. 'Oh shit she really is going to electrocute me! That woman is crazy…'. Your thoughts were interrupted when the door opened showing a grinning Natalia.

"_______ are you ready for your treatment?" She made her way to the control station.

Your eyes widened in fear. "I can't believe this you really are going to electrocute me…"

She bursted out into a giggling fit. "Of course! This way I can make sure you stay away from my Ivan!" She smiled happily as she started pressing some buttons.

Oh hell you were screwed.

«RUSSIA POV»

Ivan parked the car so quickly it made drag marks. He ran to the entrance and bursted through the doors. The securities tried to stop him but to no avail. Ivan quickly outmatched them and made his way to the lobbyist that was crying and shaking behind the counter. "You will tell me where Natalia and _______ are, da?"

The woman gulped and fiddled with some papers. Ivan's patience was at its last and he started to growl. The woman started to shake even more till she found the right paper.

"M-M-Miss _-_______ i-is in t-the elect-tric t-treatment r-r-room… " Ivan eyes widened as panic took over him.

"WHERE IS THIS ROOM?" The woman nearly screamed and started to sob but managed to tell him. Ivan bolted towards the room.

«READER POV»

"I do hope you're ready ______! This will be a once in a lifetime experience!" Natalia now stood next to you and leaned in whispering "I do hope you scream… This wouldn't be fun otherwise…" She laughed and made her way to the controls box again. "Goodbye _______!"

'Click'

«RUSSIA POV»

Ivan stomped over the hallways but stopped when he heard screams… your screams. His eyes widened and he ran as fast as he could. Your screams were getting louder and louder and the lights were starting to flicker. "??????!" he ran till he saw a huge double door. Here the screams were loudest. He bursted into the  room and what he saw nearly made him scream. You were twitching and squirming in pain. Natalia was laughing so hysterically she didn't even notice Ivan. He ran to the controls shoving her to the ground and turned the machine off.

"I-Ivan?! W-What are you doing???"

'HOW DARE SHE….'He glared at her with all the hatred he could muster. "Touch her again and i will kill you Natalia!!!!" She froze in place and started to sob. Ivan turned to you nearly crying himself. You were a mess. You had such a pained expression it tore him apart.

«READER POV»

Your eyes fluttered open. You were on a soft bed. "W-where the heck am i?"

"______..." Your eyes widened as you notice arms wrapping around your waist. You turned quickly and < e/c > meets purple.

"I-Ivan… W-What are y-" You were cut off by soft but dominating lips. Blood raised to your cheeks along with the increased beating of your heart.

"________, I'm so sorry… It was my fault that you were hurt… It was my fault that Natalia got to you! My-" You caressed his cheek making him stop rambling. "_-_____?" His cheeks were now too in a lovely shade of pink. You giggled and kissed his nose.

"Don't be so hard on yourself you silly Russian… Being on that hospital only made me realize something…"

Ivan looked at you confused but that look immediately faded away one your lips connected with his.

'That I love you… and that's all I needed to know…'
